2013 WSO awards:
We will be accepting nominations for the 2013 WSO Awards Program in January 2013. If you know of a company; corporation; educational facility; or individual that has done exemplary work or set new safety records in a particular area, why not nominate them for a WSO Award. Certification Renewal Requirements:
As you know almost all of the certification programs require that you keep current and up to date by having you fill out a form, that is asking you what you are doing to keep current and improving your safety knowledge. One of the questions on these forms is have you attended any safety conferences.
As with all of the WSO Conferences, there will be speakers and WSO members present from countries such as Australia, Taiwan, Lebanon, Canada, Philippines and others.
WSO Certification Examinations:
Individuals, wishing to sit for WSO Certification Examinations may do so during the conference. However, approval of the applicants certification application package, from the WSO Certification Board, will be needed before the applicant is eligible to sit for the WSO Exam. Contact the WSO World Management Center for further information at (660) 747-3132.
The Registration Desk will be open throughout the Symposium. If you have pre-registered, all your materials, including your name tag and program will be ready for you.
The 2013 WSO Annual Awards Banquet will take place on Monday evening, September 9th, 2013 at the Mission Valley Hilton Hotel Malibu Room. The awards to individuals, corporations and organizations are made during the Annual Awards Banquet. Recipients of the 2012 Annual Awards are pictured above.
Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, Continuing Education Units (CEUs):
All participants of the Symposium will receive a Certificate of Attendance; Certificate of Completion, and a transcript of completed courses and workshops. Please make sure that you go to the registration desk and pick up your Certificates before you leave the symposium. Continuing Educational Units are available upon request for $20.00.
Accommodations: The Hilton San Diego Mission Valley is offering special rates for Symposium attendees. A listing of other area hotels can be found HERE.

Symposium Registration Fees:
- Through the end of June 30, 2013 - $500.00
- Through the month of July, 2013 - $550.00
- Through the month of August, 2013 - $650.00
- Registration at the Symposium - $750.00
- U.S. Funds
If you are not a member of the World Safety Organization, please add $75.00 to the above fees. This additional fee will be applied to your first years Affiliate Membership fee.
- WSO Awards Banquet - $45.00 per person
- Continuing Education Units (CEU's) $20.00 for this certificate
We are currently accepting abstracts for possible speakers for the Symposium. If you are interested in being one of our presenters, please send in a short bio and abstract of the course that you would like to present, to email@example.com. Once we receive this abstract it will be reviewed by the Conference Committee and you will be contacted once the evaluation is complete.
