Who is invited and who should attend:
If you are a WSO member, community leader, or a professional involved in the field of environmental safety and health, occupational safety and health, transportation safety, loss control consulting, hazardous materials management, hazardous waste management, fire service, construction safety, insurance, workers' compensation and all other related fields; at the corporate, managerial and operational level; with the community, state or federal agencies; with private industry, educational institutions, etc., the WSO's 22nd International Environmental & Occupational Safety & Health Professional Development Conference is for you! You are also invited to participate in the WSO Global Round Table discussion to coordinate development of resolutions for the United Nations' Economic and Social Council. WSO Chapters; divisions and committees are also invited to this meeting.
Certification Renewal Requirements:
As you know almost all of the certification programs require that you keep current and up to date by having you fill out a form, that is asking you what you are doing to keep current and improving your safety knowledge. One of the questions on these forms is have you attended any safety conferences.
International Guests:
As with all of the WSO Conferences, there will be speakers and WSO members present from countries such as Australia, Taiwan, Lebanon, Canada, Philippines and others.
WSO Certification Examinations:
Individuals, wishing to sit for WSO Certification Examinations may do so during the conference. However, approval of the applicants certification application package, from the WSO Certification Board, will be needed before the applicant is eligible to sit for the WSO Exam. Registration:
The Conference Registration desk will be open Sunday July 5th 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and will open Monday July 6th, at 7:00 a.m. through the rest of the day. Tuesday July 7th and Wednesday July 8th the registration desk will open at 7:30 a.m. and will remain open through the day. If you have pre-registered, all your conference materials, including your name tag and conference program will be ready for you.
President's Welcome Reception:
This special "Meet and Greet" occasion will be held on Sunday, July 5th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. There will be a cash bar and hors d'oeuvres will be provided. The reception will be held early to give you time to attend some of the evening activities, with your family and or frieds.
Awards Banquet:
The 2009 awards presentation is scheduled for Monday evening, July 6th. The awards to individuals, corporations and organizations will be made during the Annual Awards Banquet. The fee for the Banquet is $45.00 per person. Spouses and guests are welcome! We are currently accepting nominations for the WSO Awards. Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, Continuing Education Units (CEUs):
All participants of the conference will receive a Certificate of Attendance; Certificate of Completion, and a transcript of completed courses and workshops. Please make sure that you go to the registration desk and pick up your Certificates before you leave the conference. Continuing Educational Units are available upon request for $12.00.

If you are not a member of the World Safety Organization, please add $75.00 to the above fees. This additional fee will be applied to your first years Affiliate Membership fee.
