Job Description: This person will oversee environmental issues at five (5) US manufacturing locations as well as the implementation of corporate policies and programs at those facilities. He/she will maintain expertise on federal and state environmental laws and regulations, track compliance with those requirements as well as company policy, work with plants to develop programs and strategies to maintain compliance. Develop and provide training to plant level environmental coordinators to improve understanding of environmental regulations. Provide support and direction to assigned plants and provide accurate and timely information and sound advice and recommendations to executive management. He/she will conduct compliance evaluations, assist in developing corrective action plans, conduct follow-up and share best practices.
Maintains an in-depth knowledge of ISO 14001. Travel up to 40%. Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have a BS in Engineering or Environmental Science, 2+ years experience in an environmental field; In-depth knowledge of ISO 14001 and federal environmental regulations; be self directed; think strategically; be compliance focused and be able to work well in both plant and corporate environments.
